Japan's picturesque gorge

Takachiho Gorge is well known for its cliffs rising up on both sides of the Gokase River. The gorge has a spectacular 600-meter long walking trail, which offers magnificent view points. You can rent a rowboat for 2,000 yen for a half hour, and explore the gorge from the water itself. Nearby, the Manai Falls are a popular highlight of the Takachiho gorge. The entrance fee is 1000 yen per person.
