Japan's highest volcano

Mount Fuji is Japan's highest moutain, sitting at a total height of is 3776 meters. This scenic snow-capped mountain can be seen all the way from Tokyo and Yokohama on a clear day. If you plan to hike Mount Fuji, the trails and mountain facilities are officially opened from July to mid-September. It takes a total of 5 to 7 hours to climb Mount Fuji from the Subaru Fifth Station, all the way to the summit.

How to get there:

The easiest way to get to Mt. Fuji is to take the Keio express bus from Shinjuku in Tokyo. It takes you right to the beginning of the hiking trail. You can also take the Fuji Excursion Limited Express train from Shinjuku Station.
