The geothermal wonderland

Landmannalaugar natural reserve is at the edge of the Laugahraun lava field, which was formed by an eruption in the year 1477. It is known for its natural geothermal hot springs and surrounding landscapes.

Located in Fjallabak Nature Reserve in the Highlands of Iceland

How to get there:

The best way to get to the reserve is to drive south via Road 1, aka “the Ring Road”, and then take Road 26 inland. The gravel road will lead you straight to the reserve.
