Erupting hot spring

One of the greatest natural attractions in Iceland

The Great Geysir is an erupting hot spring located in Iceland’s hugely popular Golden Circle tour area. Eruptions at Geysir can hurl boiling water up to 70 metres into the air.

Located in the geothermal area of Haukadalur Valley, found in the south-west Iceland.

How to get there:

The easiest way to get there is to drive yourself, or by booking a guided excursion. It is approximately an hour and a half drive from Reykjavík
