An ancient holy site of the Inca

The symbol of peace and serenity

Isla Del Sol is an island situated in lake Titicaca well-known for it's Inca sites. The Bolivian island is featuring some iconic hiking trails, rock formations, ruins of the 15th century AD and a museum. There is an entrance fee of 10 Bs to the community. Every attraction of the island can only be accesed on foot. The island can be visited in a day but we recomend spending at least a night to really take the time to appreciate what the island has to offer.

The gladdest moments, me thinks, is a departure into unknown lands.

Located in the southern part of Lake Titicaca

How to get there:

The only way to get to Isla del Sol is by boat via the Lake Titicaca. Several tour companies in Copacabana offer daily boat services to the island. The ferry is about 1h30 one-way and the ride costs 20 Bolivianos per person. There are no motor vehicles on Isla del Sol.
