The active volcano of Irazu is situated in the Cordillera Central, and offers a unique moon-like landscape. It is an easy walk on a paved trail to reach the crater, where you will find a bright green lake. There is a small visitor's center that offers further information about volcanoes to expand your knowledge on these giants. The entrance fee to the park is $15 per adult.
