The largest Mayan city in Belize

A real historical beauty

Caracol is a 200-square kilometer site of 1200 BC Ancient Mayan archaeological ruins, situated in the Cayo District. The site features majestic temples, which visitors can climb to enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding Chiquibul forest reserve. The entrance fee to the site is about $7.50 USD per person.

How to get there:

The drive to Caracol Mayan Ruins is relatively easy: the roads leading to it are in good condition, therefore, you simply have to follow the signs. You can also hire a guide to fully understand the history behind the ruins.
