Paradise for Wildlife Enthusiasts

A Safari Adventure

Situated in the southeast of the island, Yala National Park beckons adventure seekers with its diverse landscapes and captivating wildlife. Covering over 900 square kilometers, this natural haven is renowned for its leopard population, making it a must-visit destination for wildlife enthusiasts. We went on a 3 hours safari there at 5:30 am, we were lucky enough to see: Elephants, a bear, crocodiles, water buffalos, peacocks, dears, plenty of birds and a magical encounter with a leopard! In the high season, you can see around 500 jeep in the park. Thats a weird scenario but this is their economy and it is supposed to be controlled and protected.

Best Time to Visit: The optimal time to explore Yala is during the dry season from February to June, providing the best wildlife sightings. Cam and I went in November 2023, only 150 jeep in the park and we saw every species in the park.
