Known as "The City of Water"

The Italian lagoon city of Venice is known for its historic attractions and gorgeous canals in the Adriatic Sea. This majestic city is situated on a group of 118 small islands in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. It is really worth going for a walk in this historic city by foot or by gondola on the water routes. The architecture and the views are breathtaking.
