Tulum is a popular, quiet and peaceful beach town situated in the Yucatán Peninsula. It is well known for its beaches, mangroves, cenotes and the well-preserved ruins of the ancient Mayan port city. Tulum offers the perfect combination of tranquility and nightlife. The ruins of Tulum are well worth visiting: you can explore the ruins on your own or book a certified tour guide. The entrance fee is as cheap as $5 USD per person.

How to get there:

Tulum is situated approximately an hour drive south of Playa del Carmen, and 90 minutes from Cancun International Airport. You can take the bus, a shuttle or a taxi to reach Tulum.
