Live the island life.

The southernmost tip of Laos

Si Phan Don is riverine archipelago with 4,000 islands located in the Mekong River. Travellers often visit Don Khong (the biggest island), although most people head to Don Det or Don Khon. There, you can find cheap accommodations, as well and the famous Khon Pa Soi Falls. You can visit the rice fields, rent a bike or a kayak, or take a boat tour around the breathtaking area of southern Laos.

How to get there:

There are a few buses and minivans from Pakse that include a boat ride to Si Phan Don. If you are travelling from Cambodia, you can take a van from Kratie, Stung Treng or Banlung for about 15$, which also include a boat ride to Don Det or Don Khong.
