Known as "Smugglers Cove" or "Navagio Beach"

One of the most popular beaches in the world

Shipwreck Beach is an exposed cove with an impressive 40 year-old shipwreck buried in the limestone gravel of the beach. We recommend going there early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Often, tour operators will bring you to other beautiful sites off Zakynthos' coast - like the Blue Caves and Xygia Sulfur Beach.

Located on the coast of Zakynthos, in the Ionian Islands of Greece

How to get there:

The beach is only accessible by boat. A lot of tour operators offers day trips to Shipwreck Beach. If you want to get to the top of the cliff, take a bus to the village of Anafonitria and follow the signs to the Agios Gergio Kremnao Monastery (about 5 km). Upon arrival, use the road to your right to get to a small viewing platform above the beach.
