Rainbow mountain is a colorful mountain in Peru with an altitude of 5,200 meters above sea level. It takes roughly 3 hours to get to the top and 3 hours back down. The best time of the year to visit the colorful site is in the month of August (dry season). The panoramic view of the colorful mountains will take your breath away.

Located in the Andes of Peru in the Cusco Region

How to get there:

The easiest way to get to the rainbow mountains is from Cusco with a tour operator for a full day trek. We recommend not to book the tour online because it is more expensive.

  1. Such an amazing place! It is as colorful as the photos!! The hike is hard because of the high altitude but it’s really worth it! You can ride a horse if you prefer not hiking.
