One of New Zealand's hidden treasures

Beautiful but dangerous waterfalls

The 35-meter high waterfall of Omanawa is definitely worth a visit. The hike is really hard and steep. In fact, many say that it is more of a climb than it is a hike, so be prepared. The whole trip to the waterfall takes approximately 2 hours and is rewarded with a watering hole that offers a very refreshing swim.

I'm shaking the dust of this crummy little town off my feet and I'm gonna see the world.

How to get there:

The easiest way to get there is by car. The Omanawa Falls are just a 30-minute drive from Tauranga. The hike to reach the bottom of the falls is hard and takes approximately 2 hours round trip.
