A natural scenic beauty

The dramatic Nauyaca Waterfalls are two sets of falls measuring a combined 61 meters high. They are situated in the mountains in Southern Costa Rica. The waterfall is has a large natural pool in which you can swim in or cliff jump into. From the trailhead, the hike is 4 kilometers in each direction. You can also book a horseback riding tour for $70 USD per person. The hike take approximately two hours, round trip, and the entrance fee is $8 per person.

Located in the mountains of the southern zone along Rio Barucito (Baru River).

How to get there:

By rental car or motorbike, you can easily drive to reach the trailhead of the Nauyaca Waterfalls. The starting point of the trail is the office of Don Lulo, and the whole journey takes two hours, round trip.
