Crystal-blue lake

Lake Sorapis is a turquoise colour glacial lake, located at 1900 meters above sea level in the Dolomites. The hike involves sections of via ferrata, a protected climbing root with cables and ladders. It is a intermediate hiking trail that offers incredible views of mountain peaks. The 15km trail round trip takes approximately 4 to 5 hours.

If you're twenty-two, physically fit, hungry to learn and be better, I urge you to travel – as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them — wherever you go. ~ Anthony bourdain

Located in the Dolomites within the Veneto region of Northern Italy

How to get there:

The easiest way to get there is by car. There is a parking lot at the beginning of the hike. You can also take a bus from Cortina train station
