Beautiful and accessible waterfalls

A hidden gem

La Planta Waterfallm situated in Arecibo, is an artificial waterfall which was once a dam. It is the perfect place for a refreshing dip into the warm natural pool at the bottom of the falls. At times, it is deep enough for the brave who wish to jump off of the rocks. There are smaller waterfalls a few minutes down the river which are definitely worth a visiting if you are in the Arecibo area.

How to get there:

The best way to get to La Planta Waterfalls is to drive there yourself. You can park at the end of the road near the old hydroelectric plant. From the end of the road, it is a short walk along the river to reach the falls.
