North Island Waterfalls

Known as “Ketekete”

The Kitekite Falls are one of the most famous waterfalls in the North Island, with six drops into a large pool at the bottom where you can enjoy a cold swim. The walk from the road is an easy 3.6 km, round trip.

Like all great travellers, I have seen more than I remember and remember more than I have seen.

Located on the Glen Esk stream near Piha Beach in the Northern New Zealand.

How to get there:

It is a 40 minute drive to Kite Kite Falls from Auckland, where there is plenty of space to park. Thereupon, walk the tracks at the end of Glen Esk Road.
