The deepest lakes in Jasper

Cliff jumping paradise

Horseshoe Lake is a crystal-clear water lake surrounded by cliffs from where you can jump into deep water. The height range is from 10 to 80 feet. The water of the lake comes from the glacier which makes water is cold all summer long and frozen in the winter. It is a small hike from the parking lot to reach the lake. The area is also a popular place to enjoy the sun, to swim, hike and snorkel.

When preparing to travel, lay out all of your clothes and all of your money. Then take half the clothes and twice the money.

How to get there:

The easiest way to get to Horseshoe Lake is to drive your own car. It is approximately 30 kilometers from the town of Jasper to the Horseshoe Lake hiking trailhead. Note, that hitchhiking is a common practice around Jasper.
