The most popular hikes in Hawaii

A scenic 360° view

The iconic Diamond Head crater located just outside Waikiki Beach is a popular destination for tourists. The crater was formed about 300 000 years ago, during a single explosive eruption. The trail to the summit of Lē‘ahi was built in 1908 as part of O‘ahu’s coastal defense system. The 0.8 mile hike takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the summit and the view over Honolulu is more than rewarding. The entrance fee is $1 per person for pedestrians and $5 per car (cash only). The last entrance to access hike the trail is at 4:30 pm.

  1. Even if its a super crowded, easy hike, this is definitely a must-do in Waikiki ! 1$ to enter and 25 minutes to hike but the view over Waikiki is incredible !
