Beautiful and accessible waterfalls

Belize's hidden gem

The impressive 150-feet Big Rock Waterfall, situated in the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, is a natural beauty. The falls adhere to both thrill-seekers and visitors looking for a relaxing getaway. There, travellers can jump from a cliff into a natural pool, or sunbathe on the rocks. It is also a great opportunity to appreciate nature’s creations. You will need to check yourself in with the park ranger at the entrance of the park. From there, it is another four miles before getting to the trailhead of the falls.

I haven't been everywhere, but it’s on my list.

Located in San Ignacio Town (Cayo) next to Mountain Pine Ridge.

How to get there:

The best way to reach Big Rock Waterfalls is to drive there yourself via rental or personal vehicle. The closest large town to the waterfall is San Ignacio, where you can also hire a tour operator.
