The Baie des Rochers (Bay of Rocks) is the perfect place for a forest getaway or a camping weekend. This is actually a wild camping spot: there are no facilities, but also no fees. From the parking lot, it is an hour hike into the forest to get to the beach and along the way you will see some incredible views. From the beach, it is common to see whales, belugas and seals. The best time to visit Baie des Rochers is during the summer, from June to September.
You can only get to the Baie des Rochers by car, which you can rent onsite at the airport. Upon location, there is parking available at the geographic point 47°57’12.1″N 69°48’42.5″W, or you can GPS search “Parc Municipal de Baie-des-Rochers”. However, there is no access to the road to the parking lot during the winter.
