A hidden beauty

Johnston creek is an iconic body of water that flows through a large canyon formed by an erosion that occured over thousands of years ago. It is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, in Banff National Park. It is a nice 2.7 kilometre walk through the canyon along the creek, which takes you to the majestic Upper Waterfalls. It is also accessible during the winter, and offers is a whole new scenery of the icy Rockies.

Located in Canada's Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park.

How to get there:

The Johnston Creek is located 25 km from the town of Banff. There is parking available on the east side of the creek. From there, follow the trail leading across a footbridge to the lodge.
