Utila is an island in the Bay Islands group situated in the West Caribbean Sea off the northern coast of Honduras. It is known for its easy access to a diverse range of water activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding. It is also a good destination if you want to get your PADI or SSI diving certification. If you're lucky, you can see magestic whale sharks swimming around.
You can take the bus or a flight to get to La Ceiba. From there, you can take an hour ride ferry to Utila. There are two boats that have two daily departures, respectively. Utila is fairly small and can be walked easily.
