Europe's largest waterfalls

The Rhine Falls offer the visitors a spectacular sight, standing tall at 23 metres high and 150 metres wide. You will feel the roar and vibration of the water across your entire body. The ideal time to visit the Falls is in the months of May and June, for that is when the water peaks.

If you are not willing to risk the unusual, you will have to settle for the ordinary.

Located on the High Rhine, on the border between the cantons of Schaffhausen and Zürich. The Rhine Falls are close to the town of Schaffhausen.

How to get there:

You can admire the Falls from the viewing platform, or get a closer view on a boat tour. Guided tours start from Schloss Laufen on the Zürich side of the Falls. There is also a hostel located in Schloss Laufen where you can stay low cost.
