It is also a base for exploring the region’s vineyards and historic mining towns. Queenstown is in the picturesque Southern Alps and Lake Wakatipu.

How to get there:

Queenstown is a central place in New Zealand. There are domestic flights operated by Air New Zealand and Jetstar that connect Queenstown with Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. You can also reach Queenstown by bus, rental car or taxi.
