The Purakaunui Falls are a series of three-tiered cascading waterfalls on the Purakaunui River. It is a lovely 10 minute walk into the forest to reach the waterfalls. Nearby, you will find the smaller (yet beautiful) Matai Falls right next to Horseshoe Falls.
Once you reach the parking lot, the walk to the Purakaunui Waterfalls takes approximately 10 minutes.
