Peculiar rock formations

Historically significant mining site

Mugana Caves are spectacular limestone caves dripping with stalactites and stalagmites, and are well known for their impressive aboriginal rock art. There is a network of short hikes and walking trails that connect the caves together. The landscape was formed 400 million years ago and has several animal species. There is an entrance fee of $28.75 USD per person.

How to get there:

The easiest option to visit Mungana Caves is to join a ranger on a guided cave tour to view spectacular limestone formations. The caves are located 3 hours west of Cairns, in northern Queensland.
