The town's oldest monument

The Castle of the Moors is a popular tourist attraction located in the town of Sintra. It is a hilltop medieval castle constructed during the 9th century. The panoramic view of the city from the top of the castle is breathtaking. The entrance fee to the castle is about €8.00.

Located in the central Portuguese civil parish of Santa Maria e São Miguel, in the municipality of Sintra, about 25 km northwest of Lisbon.

How to get there:

The castle lies 3.5 Km south of Sintra. Sintra is also accessible by train from Lisbon. From Sintra, you can catch a bus and get to the castle.
