Montanita is a peacefull town gridded of small streets, and crowded with shops and restaurants. It is also a popular destination for surfers from all over the world, and is considered as one of the best beaches in Ecuador's southern coast. If you've never surfed, this is the perfect place to take a course and learn this sport. You will fall in love with the relaxing vibes of the Montanita people.

How to get there:

From the city of Guayaquil, you can take the bus to Montanita, which takes around 3 hours and costs approximately $5 USD. The best way to get around Montanita is by foot; the town is small enough.

  1. Cool place! I f you don’t feel like partying, you can stay in La Punta, which is 15 minutes by walk from Montanita.
