A unique eco-system

Mindo is a popular town for both nature-lovers and adventure seekers. It is situated in a valley surrounded by the Andes Mountains. The area is well known for its dramatic mountains, numerous waterfalls and unique cloud forest biodiversity. There are approximately 15 waterfalls in this area, including the beautiful Reina waterfall, which is a two-hour walk from the Tarabita (cable car). Mindo has is it all: rafting, tubing, trekking, mountain biking, canyoning, horseback riding, birdwatching, hiking and more!

Located in the western slopes of the Andes

How to get there:

Mindo is located only 2 hours northwest of Quito, and is easily accessible by bus or car. There are direct buses from Santo Domingo, La Concordia and Quito, that travel to Mindo Town. If you are driving there yourself, cruise down Route 28. You will enjoy the views of little Andean villages along the way.
