Long-distance hiking trail

Stunning coastline trek

The Lycian Way is a famous long-distance hiking trail in Turkey that stretches approximately 540 kilometers along the stunning coastline of ancient Lycia. It is one of the most popular trekking routes in the country and offers hikers a chance to explore the natural beauty, historical sites, and traditional villages of the region. The Lycian Way offers diverse landscapes, including coastal cliffs, turquoise bays, pine forests, olive groves, and panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. The region's rugged and wild terrain provides a unique experience for trekkers. There are various accommodation options along the trail, including guesthouses, pensions, and camping areas. Some hikers choose to carry their own camping gear, while others prefer staying in villages along the route.

Not all those who wander are lost.

Located in southwestern Turkey around part of the coast of ancient Lycia

How to get there:

The starting point of the Lycian Way is in Ölüdeniz, and the endpoint is in Geyikbayırı.

There are long-distance bus services (often called “dolmuş” in Turkey) connecting major cities and towns to Fethiye. From Fethiye, you can take a local minibus (dolmuş) to Ölüdeniz, which is only about 14 kilometers away.

Additionally, if you’re starting or ending your hike at a different point along the Lycian Way, you can modify your travel plans accordingly based on the nearest airports or bus stations to your chosen starting/ending location.
