The oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park is a game reserve located in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is one of the oldest game reserves in Africa and is well known for its conservation efforts in saving the white rhinoceros from extinction. How to get there:

Africa. The easiest way to get there is by flying into King Shaka International Airport, which is located near Durban, and then renting a car or taking a shuttle to the park.

Alternatively, you can take a bus or hire a private transfer from Durban or Johannesburg to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park. There are several tour operators that offer guided tours to the park, which include transportation and accommodation.

It’s important to note that the roads leading to the park can be quite bumpy and uneven, so it’s recommended to use a high-clearance vehicle, particularly if you plan on self-driving within the park.
