Belize's first marine reserve

A famous snorkeling & diving spot

Hol Chan is a marine reserve, covering 18 km² of coral reefs, seagrass beds, and mangrove forest. The reserve is known for its rich marine life with over 160 recorded fish species of fish in the reserve. You can snorkel with sea turtles, dolphins, nurse sharks, manatees, a few species of rays and more.

Located close to Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker, off the coast of Belize

How to get there:

To reach Hol Chan Marine Reserve, you have to take a boat ride from Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker. You can also hire a tour operator that includes transportation and snorkel gear.
