Mount Everest is located in the region of Khumbu, home to the Sherpa people and the mysterious Yeti. Walking in the region is not easy: the trails are often steeply ascending. The trek to Everest Base Camp is a 15-day tour minimum, and requires a lot of equipment and preparation.
