The famous brazilian christ statue

UNESCO World Heritage site

Mostly famous for the iconic statue that stands on top of it, the Corcovado mountain is 710 meter high. You can hike it through the rainy Tijuca Forest national park. The hike up to Corcovado Mountain and to get to the Christ the Redeemer statue is free of cost. The entire hike takes approximately 3 hours round trip.

How to get there:

There is a train station at the base of the Corcovado peak so from wherever you are you can take the train there. You can either take a taxi or the metro to reach the trailhead.
