Chiang Mai Town is located in Northern Thailand. It is the perfect place to try traditional Thai food, to attend a muay thai match (the national sport) and to visit an elephant sanctuary. Its Old City area still retains vestiges of walls and moats from its history as a cultural and religious center. It is also home to hundreds of elaborate Buddhist temples.
