The driest nonpolar desert in the world

Atacama Desert is a a 1,000 km strip of land situated both in Bolivia and Chile. There is approximately one million people living in Atacama desert into coastal fishing villages, mining areas and oasis towns. The Desert features some spectacular wildlife like the pink flamingos, the iconic salt flat lake, beautiful sunset, the impressive El Tatio Geyser, which is the third-largest geyser field in the world and more.

Located on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes Mountains

How to get there:

To get to Atacama Desert you need to get to Calama by bus or by plane from Santiago and then to the town of San Pedro by minibus or shuttle for an hour drive.
