Amphitheatre hike

The Amphitheatre hike is a popular hiking trail located in the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa. The trail is known for its stunning views of the Tugela Falls, which is one of the highest waterfalls in the world. The hike begins at the Sentinel Car Park and follows a well-marked trail through the foothills of the mountains. The first part of the hike is relatively easy, but it becomes more challenging as you ascend to the top of the Amphitheatre. The trail climbs steeply up the mountain and passes through narrow gorges and rocky terrain. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Tugela Falls and the surrounding mountains. The entire hike is approximately 16 kilometers (10 miles) and takes between 6-8 hours to complete, depending on your pace and fitness level. It is recommended that hikers have a good level of fitness and experience with hiking on steep and rocky terrain.
