Five crystal-clear mountain lakes

Known as “5 Seen Wanderung,”

The Five Lake Hike is a moderate hike that offers spectacular views of the Alps of Eastern Switzerland. The distance is 9.7 km at an elevation of 2500 meters, for a total journey of 4-5 hours. You can cut the trip by simply hiking to the first two lakes for a total hike of 6 km, round-trip. The hike is open from July through mid October, and the adult entrance fee is 22 CHF.

How to get there:

The trail is accessible from the Wangs cable car, near Bad Ragaz. It is approximately an hour drive from Zurich to Wangs, and the ride is approximately the same via train from Zurich.
