Copán is an archaeological site of the Mayan civilization, built between the year 400 and 800 A.D, situated in Western Honduras. It is encompasses various stone temples, altars, hieroglyphs, and stelae. The entrance fee is $15 for the ruins and another $15 to visit the tunnels. Finally, the onsite museum is an additional $7. If you want to fully live the experience, you should hire a guide to visit the ruins and learn more about Mayan history.
