By Train: The most convenient way to reach the Semmering Railway is by train (ironic lol). The railway is well-connected to major cities in Austria, such as Vienna and Graz. You can take a train to either of these cities and then transfer to a regional train that stops at Semmering or any other station along the Semmering Railway route.
- From Vienna: Trains from Vienna to Semmering depart from Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Main Station) or Wien Meidling. The journey takes approximately one hour.
- From Graz: Trains from Graz to Semmering depart from Graz Hauptbahnhof (Graz Main Station). The journey takes around two hours.
By Car: If you prefer to drive, you can reach the Semmering Railway by car. The Semmering Pass is easily accessible by road, and there are well-marked routes leading to the various towns along the railway line. The nearest major cities with good road connections to the Semmering area are Vienna and Graz
