The climber's paradise

Bucket list worthy

Railay beach, also known as Rai Leh, is a large peninsula between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang in Thailand. It is only accessible by boat due to high limestone cliffs that cut off mainland access. This small hidden area has only 2 streets, several restaurants, bars and a few hostels. Outdoor climbing is a popular attraction in the area, with different levels of walls for different levels of climbers. There, you can also cliff jump, hike with a 360 view, enjoy the beautiful beaches of white sand and turquoise waters which provide for various nautical activities. Railay holds a large population of wild monkey that share their jungle habitat with the urban area. It is important to be cautious with these small mammals when you have food: they are very voracious!
