The most visited natural attractions in Norway

Formed during the ice age

Pulpit Rock, also known as Preikestolen, is a popular tourist attraction located in Norway. It is a steep cliff that rises 604 meters above the Lysefjord, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding fjords and the Norwegian landscape. Once at the top, visitors are rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the Lysefjord and the surrounding mountains. The flat, square-shaped plateau of Pulpit Rock itself is a popular spot for photos and relaxation. It's important to exercise caution and stay away from the cliff edges, as there are no safety barriers or railings.

Pulpit Rock attracts thousands of visitors every year, especially during the summer months when the weather is more favorable. It's advisable to check the local weather conditions before planning a visit and to be prepared for changing weather, as the area is known for its unpredictable climate.
