Turkey's largest island in the Mediterranean

Known for its natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and historical ruins.

Kekova Island is a small Turkish island located off the coast of Antalya, in the Mediterranean Sea. It is part of the Kekova region, which also includes the nearby towns of Kaleköy and Üçağız. Kekova Island is known for its natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and historical ruins. One of the main attractions of Kekova Island is the partially submerged ancient city of Simena. This Lycian city was once a thriving settlement but was largely destroyed by an earthquake in the 2nd century AD. Today, visitors can see the remains of the ancient city underwater, including sunken houses and staircases. Swimming and snorkeling around the submerged ruins is a popular activity. Kaleköy, also known as Simena, is a picturesque village located on the mainland opposite Kekova Island. It is famous for its well-preserved castle, which sits on top of a hill overlooking the sea. The castle offers stunning views of the surrounding area and is worth exploring.

Boat tours are a popular way to explore Kekova Island and its surroundings. These tours allow visitors to cruise around the island, stopping at various points of interest and providing an opportunity to swim and snorkel in the clear waters. Some tours also include visits to nearby attractions such as the Sunken City and the ancient city of Myra
