Important factor to the Christians and Vikings

Dunluce Castle is a medieval castle ruins located in Northern Ireland, near the town of Portrush in County Antrim. The castle was built in the 13th century and was owned by the MacDonnell clan for many years. The castle's strategic location on a cliff overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean made it an important stronghold during various conflicts throughout its history. The castle is now a popular tourist attraction, with visitors able to explore the ruins and learn about its fascinating history. The castle's location on the coast also provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the ocean. The site is managed by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and is open to visitors for most of the year.

How to get there:

Dunluce Castle is located in Northern Ireland, near the town of Bushmills and the Giant’s Causeway. Here are a few options for getting there: By Car: Dunluce Castle is located off the A2 Coast Road, approximately 3 miles east of Portrush and 2 miles west of Bushmills. There is a small car park available at the castle.

By Bus: Bus services run from Coleraine, Portrush, and Bushmills to Dunluce Castle. Ulsterbus service 172 operates between Coleraine and Bushmills, stopping at Dunluce Castle along the way. Alternatively, you can take the Causeway Rambler bus service from Portrush or Bushmills, which also stops at Dunluce Castle.
