An outdoor paradise

Cochamao is a beautiful valley situated east of Puerto Montt city. It offers s scenic hiking trail with dramatic views of the valley. The trail carries on up through Argentina traverses some of the most unspoiled areas of northern Patagonia. This many day hikes exist to river pools, waterfalls, granite walls and peaks with amazing views.There is a two type of accomodation where you can stay during your multiple day in the valley. You can stay in the bed and breakfast named Refugio Cochamó, or at the Camping La Junta campground. All access to trails, rivers, lakes and climbing are free. The valley is featuring some outdoor activites like: Hiking, rock climbing, camping and more.

How to get there:

Getting Cochamo valley requires a 5 hour muddy trek through thick forests that departs from Cochamo town. You can hire a horse to make the journey less exausting.
