Spectacular underground halls
Cango Cave is a system of caves located in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The caves are situated in the Swartberg Mountains and are a popular tourist attraction. The cave system consists of a series of chambers and tunnels that extend over a distance of more than four kilometers. The largest chamber in the cave, known as the Van Zyl Hall, is over 90 meters long and 50 meters wide, with a height of more than 15 meters. The caves are known for their beautiful stalactite and stalagmite formations, which have been formed over millions of years. Visitors can take guided tours through the cave system to see these formations, as well as learn about the history of the caves and the people who have explored them. In addition to the standard tours, there are also adventure tours available for those who are more adventurous. These tours include activities such as crawling through narrow tunnels and abseiling down steep rock faces. By Bus: You can take a bus from Cape Town or Johannesburg to Oudtshoorn. Once in Oudtshoorn, take a taxi or a shuttle service to Cango Caves.
By Tour: You can also book a guided tour to Cango Caves from Cape Town or Johannesburg. Many tour operators offer day trips to Cango Caves.
