Architectural Marvels and Hidden Gems of the Casbah

The Casbah of Algiers, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers travelers a glimpse into Algeria's rich history and culture. This ancient citadel is a maze of narrow, winding streets, dotted with historic Ottoman palaces, mosques, and homes with intricately carved doors. The Casbah's architecture, a blend of Moorish and Ottoman styles, is a photographer’s dream. Wander through its alleys, discover hidden courtyards, and visit the Ketchaoua Mosque, a symbol of the city’s diverse religious past. The Casbah also offers stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, making it a must-visit for history enthusiasts and backpackers alike.

Seasons and Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit the Casbah is in spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November) when the weather is mild.
