Golden temple

Built in 1577, and also known as Harmandir Sahib, the Golden Temple is known for its unique look. It is the most important pilgrimage site in all of Sikhism. The entire top of the temple is made of pure gold is characterized by its surrounding man-made lake.You can visit the interior of the temple for free.

How to get there:

You can easily reach the Golden Temple from Amritsar. It is approximately 2 km that can be covered in just 8 minutes by car, cab or taxi. From Delhi, there is a comfortable train route that offers the journey to Amritsar.
